About the Series
The first book in my World Without End series, The Road, starts with Olivia Evans, a young woman living an ordinary life filled with family, home, and school. Then everything changes, and she is forced to begin an unexpected journey through a world she never thought she would have to face. Along the way, she meets four very different men who will become far more important to her than she could ever have imagined.
But as their small group grows and the dangers around them become greater, Olivia’s journey becomes about more than survival. It becomes a story about the people she and the others choose to protect and the kind of world they hope to build from the ruins of the old one.
I love writing character-driven stories where people are challenged to hold on to their beliefs when the world tries to tear them down.
Why I Write These Stories
I am fascinated by stories where ordinary and extraordinary characters must choose when there are no easy choices. I love exploring the connections between characters: what drives them, what threatens them, and what eventually strengthens them.
My World Without End series is one I hope explores all the things that excite me about reading, watching, and telling stories. Although it is set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by the undead, the focus is on the characters: who they are, what they want, what they hope for, and, most importantly, the hard choices such a world presents to them.
